Description
San Silvestre is currently seeking a teacher of Psychology IB. This is a full-time teaching post beginning February 2025.
Requirements
Essential
● A recognised teaching qualification (Ed.M., PGCE, QTS)
● A good Bachelors (or equivalent) degree in Psychology or a subject related to Psychology.
● Proven track record of successful teaching experience, preferably at the IB level
● Excellent knowledge of the IB Psychology syllabus, framework, and assessment requirements
● Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic goals
● Effective communication and teamwork skills.
● The ability to read, write and speak in English
● Excellent information technology skills, including familiarity with Google tools for Education;
(Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Forms, Google Slides ).
Desirable
● Masters or postgraduate qualification in a related subject
● Experience in supervising Extended Essays for the IB Programme.
● Experience teaching Theory of Knowledge IB (ToK)
● Experience working with EAL pupils (English as an additional language)
