The British School of Rio de Janeiro is looking for a head of secondary.

The Head of Secondary School:
● reports directly to the Head of the Barra Site and serves on the Barra Senior Leadership Team, Secondary
Education Leadership Team and other leadership teams including Board meetings where required.
● Under the leadership of the Head of Barra, is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the
Barra Secondary School. The Head of Secondary School will organise and lead meetings such as the Barra
Secondary Leadership Team, Heads of Department; staff meetings
● is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the school Vision, Mission, Core Values and Learner Profile;
● is responsible for assuring the quality of teaching and learning on the site and coordinating the recruitment of staff
● is responsible for the supervision and support of all pupils from the points of view of education, welfare,
co-curricular, safety and security;
