Description
The British Schools of Montevideo seeks a Head of Junior School to be an effective, innovative and visionary leader to take the Junior School into the next stage of its development.
The Head of Junior School is the academic and administrative leader of both the Junior School and Early Years, participating in the development of the school’s strategic direction, ensuring that all academic and non-academic activities are aligned with the school’s Vision and Mission Statements, and Strategic Plan. This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced school leader, accustomed to working with a large number of students and staff. In a Junior School section with over 700 students aged 3 - 13 and 100 staff, this role is essentially a Head of School position, and as such requires very strong, academic, strategic and organisational skills. With a strong emphasis on Safeguarding, academic achievement and holistic education, the candidate will not only have a passion for education but an understanding of the importance of Wellbeing within the context of our large but tight knit community.
